Burkhard Schade:
Expert
in developing of macroeconomic, transport and environment models and
their integration together applying the system dynamics methodology.
Further working fields are transport research applying
Input-Output-Analysis and Cost-Benefit-Analysis.
He has
been involved in several international studies like, e.g. the EST
project of the OECD; SCENES, COMPETE, INSURE, TRIAS, PREMIA project of
EU, as well as in domestic studies e.g. ('Halving the fuel consumption')
for the German Aerospace Centre and ('Environmental assessment of
infrastructure planning of waterways') the Federal Environment Agency of
Germany.
He
made his dissertation on ‚Macro Economic assessment of Transport
Scenarios’ at the University of Karlsruhe (2005), in which the system
dynamics model ESCOT was developed and he was President of the Economic
Chapter of the System Dynamics Society in 2005. Currently he works as
researcher in energy and transport in the Competitiveness &
Sustainability unit of the JRC-IPTS.
