Davide Fiorello: Graduated in statistics, he is a senior modeller specialised in transport demand analysis.
In recent years he has been working in several Research Projects funded by European Commission co-operating in the development and the application of European transport network models (SCENES), system dynamics models for the strategic analysis of linkages between transport, economy and environment (ASTRA), assessment scenarios concerning transport policies (mid-term assessment of the White Paper on the European Transport Policy) as well as energy issues.
He has also worked for several modelling and quantitative analysis at the national level and designed the criteria for a survey for estimating the cost of international transport which has been adopted by the Italian Bureau of Exchanges for the revision of Italian Balance of Payments of Transport sector.
He has been Adjunct Professor of the course of Transport Economy and Planning II at the Politecnico di Milano - campus of Piacenza from 2003 to 2005. Since 2006 he is the co-ordinator of the modelling activities of TRT.
He is also interested in economic issues with special relation to the criticism of neo-classical economic theory.
